The project is located at The Ponds, where a client wanted to expand their two-storey single-family house.
The focus of this extension was to accommodate a person with disabilities with a fully equipped bedroom.
The addition consisted of a spacious bedroom with an adjoining ensuite that strictly adhered to the requirements of the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). This commitment to meeting the client’s needs was a key focus of our work.
To facilitate the end user’s easy movement, we incorporated clear and generously sized door openings throughout the design. This allowed ample natural light to fill the space, enhancing the accessories, accessibility and overall ambience.
In addition, we ensured the provision of all necessary accessories and fixtures required for a disabled person’s free and self-movement. With careful attention to detail, our design aimed to seamlessly integrate the new extension while enhancing the end user’s quality of life.
